Well, I’ve finally finished my translation of the first Rune Soldier Louie book. I’ve made the translation available in Word Document, PDF and Epub, all of which can be downloaded or viewed online from the links below.
I hope you all appreciate the many hours that I’ve put into this translation, remember it’s no easy feat to translate an entire novel by yourself without any help what so ever. But what do most of you people care anyway, the internet is full of people who take everything for fucking granted like it’s their right to do so. I mean 90 percent of the people on the internet don’t give a shit about the translators or what it takes to do anything, they’ll just hop from one thing to another on those websites (you should know who I’m talking about) that mirror everything without permission. But do you care? Hell no, you’ll either read it or not, probably because it’s not porn or some other inane reason. Anyway, rant over.

This isn't my cup of tea, but I can say I sure do appreciate what you do! and I know the feeling. I've subtitled about 200 + plus films and all of the films with my subtitles are being sold for 20-40 bucks a pop on various web-sites like cinema-bizarre and on and on. I keep doing it, because fuck it, someone out there likes and doesn't take it for granted. Keep it up for as long as you can and it sucks but the fuckers who make money off others work I think will always be there, no matter what we try to do.

I just randomly stumbled across your site (while actually trying to see what on earth Cambrian was), when I saw the light novel tag, which led me to this. And what a surprise to discover that some awesome soul (you!) had actually translated a volume of Louie! Thank you so much for this!
Looking at the date of when you published this, I’m assuming you long abandoned the idea of translating any further volumes (which is so sad, if it is like so), but I had to write here and say I’m so grateful you actually translated even one volume! Thank you! You’re an amazing person for doing this!

I translated this novel back when I wasn’t working 40 plus hours a week, nowadays I don’t have much free time outside of work. Though thank you for the nice comment, it really means a lot to me that people actually read what I translate. Thank you very much.

Hi. I just wanted to come in and say: THANK YOU! And also: I honestly appreciate your work. I may be a minority, but I don’t take your work for granted, and even a minority can consist of a lot of people. Here alone, almost 10 commented, and I’m sure there are FAR MORE who are just as grateful as we are for the work you put on it, but just didn’t comment it. This release alone, combined with the people from Jcafe24, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are 100 grateful readers.

Also side note: this light novel series gave me the final push to start learning Japanese (I still know nothing, though), and I even bought all the Louie novels (all 3 main novel series, including the original and rereleased versions of those 2 series 2 novels that were actually released before series 1). So, yeah, I love me Louie stuff, and that is how much I love the work you put into this. THis volume 1 is all I can read for now, but I can get at least this far right now thanks to you, who invested in it. Thanks again.

There will be something to read up to the finale of season 1 of the book where it ends not very favorably for Louie, and then a journey through the kingdoms, meeting with the characters of the Record of Lodoss War
